THE SHADE
How dark do I want my tint?
The Shade of the film refers to how dark (or light) you want it to be. This is meausured as VLT - Visual Light Transmittance
The full range of VLT goes from Clear 99% to 5% (limo tint)
In Queensland the darkest legal shades of tint for passenger vehicles is 35% VLT for your front door windows and 20% for all windows behind the driver.
Commercial vehicles can have black out tint on cargo space windows, for example a courier van can have 5% VLT on the rear windscreen.
Front windscreen tint is not allowed in Queensland except for the upper 10% portion of the windscreen.

How do I want my tint to perform?
Not all tint is created equal when it comes to solar performance.
Clear ceramic tint will keep your car significantly cooler then the darkest standard films by up to 20 degrees!
Window Tint performance comes from the materials used in the manufacture of the film. These are the main options:
Dyed (standard Film) almost no solar benefits
Carbon Tint - Some heat rejection usually fades over time
Oxide - Metallized film, some heat rejection, quality film
Nano Ceramic - Impressive heat rejection
IR Ceramic Heatshield - Unmatched levels of heat rejection and solar performance
